New TV close to extender goes SD and buffers

The tv closest to my extender is a new Samsung tv, I can’t make it through a show or a sporting event without it buffering and going blurry multiple times. Tech service keeps giving me the run around, did plenty of resets and refreshes, the last tech “enabled 5g” and said I should be good to go and left so I’m done with them. Any ideas. It’s literally the closest thing to my extender which is supposedly online and working just fine.

Streaming uses a lot of bandwidth and if it's a Verizon extender you're using, those are 4G LTE devices only. Your cellular service isn't able to keep up, if you're constantly having buffering problems on the TV. The only things I can think of are to lower the streaming quality on the TV so maybe your 4G service can then keep up better, or switch your TV to some type of wired (cable or fiber) ISP.

Those reponses make me want to disqualify verizon all together. Thats half the reason I switched over. If it can't run a TV then whats the use.

Is that a WiFi extender? What is the make/model? What service is being extended?

1 gig fios. Tech came out and supposedly switched out the extender so it's "the most recent". All his tests gave him nothing but he witnessed the buffering first hand.

So, what make/model 'extender' do you have? What is it extending, celllular signal or WiFi? What model Samsung TV do you have (to look up User Guide)? How is yourTV connecting to the extender, cellular(doubtful) or WiFi?

I too am curious now. Is there both 1 gig Fios service and a Verizon 4G network extender present? If so, that's got me wondering if the TV is connected via cellular service through the network extender and not using the Fios connection at all. If the OP does not have Fios TV and is using other streaming services, would suggest looking into getting Fios TV and hooking the TV directly up to the Fios equipment as that's going to work better. There's a mobile Fios TV app as well, where Fios TV customers can watch a good part of the channels on their wireless devices too.
