Second-hand phone carrier-locked

Hello,

I recently bought a second-hand phone off ebay, and found out that it was carrier-locked by Verizon when inserting my SIM card (from french provider Orange). I live in France which is not serviced by Verizon and I am unable to contact support.

Is it possible to get it unlocked?

Hello Stenodyon. I'm afraid to say you were ripped off. I you were the original owner, and owed no money for the phone and had a Verizon account then maybe you could request the unlock. But since you are not the original owner, no they will not unlock it. Request a refund and return right away. Use eBay customer support if needed. Whomever sold you that phone ripped you off. This is why you should never buy a cell phone on eBay.
