PIXEL 7 PRO OEM LOCKED IN ROMANIA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I bough a Pixel 7 pro here in Romania from an online store and now I'm finding out, it is actually an American Verizon phone with the OEM unlocking greyed out, even after connecting it to wifi internet, need help to unlock it please and also why the heck are VERIZON phones being sold in EUROPE????!!!!

Was the phone purchased on a marketplace store or an OEM-to-Consumer retailer store? This sounds like a marketplace purchase, so likely the person who sold the device to you brought it over from the US.

Some phones in the US are Bootloader Locked by request of the carrier who initially sold the device. Which is of course different from being "Carrier Locked" in a way that prevents you from using the device with another carrier. Likewise some people on the Internet have found ways to get the Bootloader to unlock so you can flash the device with other software. Hi, sorry to hear your phone is locked to Verizon.  This is a very common problem with phones purchased through 3rd party vendors.  Unfortunately, the way US carrier phones end up overseas is because phones are easy to steal and the criminals will then sell the phones overseas in order to make fast cash and have less chance of being caught.  You need to get a refund from the seller if at all possible.  It isn't just Verizon phones which end up outside of the US as I've seen the exact same thing reported on another major US carrier's forums.
