My parents are elderly and needed a phone replaced that was damaged. They don't have an online account so my Father called Verizon and explained the situation to the person who spoke broken English. That person said that a phone was ordered and would be there in 3 days. No phone arrived so my Father called again and a phone was ordered again. This back and forth went on for a few weeks until a phone arrived with instructions to send the old one back in 5 days or be faced with paying $500! My Father didn't take out the sim card however... I called Verizon and asked that sim card be sent to my Parent's address. To make a long story short...after much back and forth with a few associates and someone from America, I was told a sim card would be overnighted....that didn't happen. I went to a local Verizon store and they couldn't provide me a card because they didn't have sim cards! The guy there told me to drive to the next store a hundred miles away and take my chances. One would ask why don't I just call this store? They don't take direct calls! The call gets routed overseas to somebody who speaks broken English and wants to know the facts on why I'm calling! Is this a better Verizon? NO WAY!
