I recently added mobile after being a longtime customer for Internet and home phone. I was receiving a $20/month Forward Discount. I applied for the Mobile + Home $15 discount because the Verizon website said that they could be combined, but instead my Forward discount was reduced to $5. I’m receiving a $20 total discount instead of the $35 combined discount. The customer service representatives including a supervisor told me that my discount could not exceed $20 and also that the forward discount was recently reduced for everyone and is only $10 now. . I didn’t receive notice of this and most of what I was told didn’t match what Verizon states on their website. My bill doesn’t explain the changes either.
I was told that I was entitled to my opinion but I was wrong. I’m really upset that I spent 4 hours today trying to fix this and was made to feel like I was stupid. I went back and read the entire page about the Forward discount and it directly contradicts most of what agents told me today. Has any one else experienced this? I’m afraid to call again because it was a horrible experience. I was given a $10 one time credit for my trouble. I really want to get this fixed or at least an explanation that actually makes sense.
