Unlock iPhone

I just bought an iPhone 16 Pro Max from a tourist and found out it is Verizon locked. How can I unlock it?

Thanks for the warning, but we know each other so it's not a problem like you said. He just bought a new iPhone and sold it to me for cheap. If so, I'll ask him to unlock it.

I hate to tell you this, but that "tourist" was a con artist who ripped you off. There is not a way to unlock it because you are not the original owner and the phone's history cannot be vetted. This scheme is a common one for dumping stolen phones to get fast cash.
