Conference call issues still

• Still issues with conference calls. Verizon and ATT. When I host a call or get merged in a conference call. The issue is the sound goes to he//. When I'm talking to one individual it's perfectly clear.
• Issue been going on since May. I've switched phones, replaced my p8p. All kinds of resets. Also when on WiFi calling and calling 2 other people and merging the same issue.
• I will note. I am on a 30 day trial with T-Mobile. I tried hosting a call with 2 people on Verizon. Crystal clear call. But when they host call. Sounds like poo.
• I've also tried ATT same issues.
• Galaxy s25 same issues.

So I'm not sure what Verizon did. Been with them for 16 years. Been conference calling for at least 12 or 13. Never had this issue. We've since gone to a dedicated line for conference calls. When I use my Verizon sim. The call sounds wavy and people break up. When I'm on TMobile. The call is crystal clear until a 5th or 6th person gets in. Then it gets wavy and breaks up again.

Looking for some more insight. There seems to be others having the same issues. Tech support is useless and wants to keep selling me stuff I don't need. Anyone in here have an answer? I'm thinking it's something Verizon did. No one else during my calls has this issue.

Long I know. But I'm at wits end. Ready to switch to TMobile.

Hi, I remember seeing your original thread. Conference calls are typically a landline thing because they work best on a wired connection. With cell phones, the data packet for the phone call has to hop between your device and the nearest cell phone tower, and the more people there are in a call, more hopping involved and between as many as 3 different mobile networks. If you and the other people are in moving vehicles going at highway speeds, it gets even more complicated because everyone's phone is constantly switching tower connections every few seconds, so the large data packet for the conference call is constantly stuck in some kind of limbo trying to find where everyone is on all the networks. A regular cell phone call with just 2 phones involved won't have that problem even if you're in a moving vehicle, because there is less routing of the data packet involved and the data being transmitted is less. Have you discussed the phone call issue with your employer to see if there is some other means of communication all of you can use when you're on the road?

As for why the call quality has declined only recently, I can't say, but with all 3 large carriers having the issue, must be some limitation with current wireless technology. All the companies are constantly trying to keep up with the others, so are tweaking their networks regularly.
