(Background) So I’ve had this phone since late November 2024 and it was fine then, it was all paid off and i could put my service on it. Well since then i’ve had 4 different services and numbers. The last provider i had was verizon and that plan ended sometime around early January this year. I was put on my boyfriends dads plan and they had told him my plan was a free plan. So when he got his bill it was around 300$ when they told him it would only be 150$ and he hasn’t paid it yet due to insufficient funds. Since he hasn’t paid it and it went out, i had tried to put my phone back on straight talk so i could get ahold of family and friends. Well straight talk told me my phone was blacklisted and unable to be put on a new plan. My phone is paid off. No bills to the phone itself. So i’m confused as to why they have my phone flagged. It is Esim and i’m questioning if that could be the case because he hasn’t paid the bill. Can they lock my owned phone if a service bill has not been paid??
