Can I use the WinBack program to return to using my old phone and physical SIM?

I bought a new unlocked phone from Google and switched to Visible 2 weeks ago to save money but have had nothing but problems with both the phone and Visible.

If I go through the WinBack program, will I also be returning to my old device and SIM card? I plan on returning the new phone for a refund so I would very much like to go back to exactly how things were before with my old phone that actually worked.

If you were formerly a postpaid customer, then yes, you can come back to Verizon as a "winback" - I believe the window for returning this way is 45 or maybe 60 days. However, prepaid customers aren't eligible to return as "winbacks".

Winbacks are reinstated with their old account from where they left off, which I would have to assume means having the same device which was previously associated with that account and any contracts which were in place at the time will also pick back up from where they left off. It's important to note that not every CSR knows how to process a "winback" correctly, so be careful to ask for someone who knows how to do a winback transaction. I have read some horror stories in the past when things weren't done right…
