My name is Leonardo, I live in Brazil, and recently my phone's IMEI has been blocked by Verizon.My girlfriend went to the US last year and bought my unlocked iPhone 16 from eBay, seller ***** with 97.1% positive feedback.I contacted Verizon, who mentioned that the device was blocked due to theft, but the seller said they didn't request a block and that the IMEI was clean at the time of sale. I started using the iPhone in Brazil, and my iCloud and phone number are on the device, and Verizon blocked it out of nowhere without giving me any details.I would like help because I contacted them and received no response, and my iPhone is under Apple warranty until March 18, 2026, and I would like to understand why it was blocked after some time, after I used it for a while in Brazil.My IMEI is *****.I left my friend's information who lives in the USA, but I actually live in Brazil and would like to be able to use my device again, as I think there was some mistake in the blocking process. Could you help me?

I hate to tell you this, but your girlfriend was burned by buying this phone on eBay. It is a very common practice for phones with shady histories to be dumped on sites such as these or sold overseas. Or if someone didn't finish paying off the phone, they'll sell it to some unsuspecting person and then the phone comes up as stolen later. Your only recourse is to get a refund from the seller.
