Unlock of overseas purchased iPhone

I'm not a Verizone customer (live in Spain), it looks like I've purchased (in Dubai, UAE in March 2025) iPhone 16 Pro 128 GB which appeared to be locked to Verizone network (was identified only after full device reset). Device serial number *****

I know that it's late to find the seller and request for refund, so I'm seeking for the process which I should follow to pay up the remaining balance and have the device unlocked for international usage.

Or what's the support line to call from outside of US to get more info?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to get this phone unlocked because you aren't the original owner and the phone's history can't be vetted. If someone at Verizon told you the phone was not paid off by the first owner, then it is officially a stolen phone and the only thing you can do is to see if a recycling center wants to buy the phone for parts.
