Before the forum updates, threads like this used to get a response from one of the mods or admins indicating it was being escalated to someone in corporate and then the thread would be closed. The Bell Atlantic box is probably dead, as old-school copper landline service is on its way out, but as far as I know, you can't just remove the box yourself.
