If I have a Mifi Hotspot do I need a "hot spot" phone line?

We have had a Mifi for many years which we use extensively, mostly on our RV travels around the country but also to and from our rural home to the nearest city (50 miles).. I just noticed my wife's line is cheaper and dopes not include a hot spot and seems to work fine when she is out. My line is more expensive and says it includes a hot spot. Do we need those phone hot spots to obtain internet connection when not using the Mifi or can we save a few more bucks on my line?

If you are happy using your MiFi device to get things connected to the internet, then having hotspot capability on your phone is just another way to hook up other devices to the internet. As for downgrading your service plan, that's up to you. However, the lower-level plans have greater chances of deprioritization on the towers: the less you pay, the more likely it is.
