On my Fios TV+ streaming box when I go to the menu and check my Network Status>WiFi Status it changes quite a bit. My client box is just 1 room over from the router and when I check it one time it shows my wifi status as good with link quality at 100%, excellent RSSI quality, good PHY rate at938 Mbps, low noise and good SNR . If I check it again in a few minutes my signal is fair with wifi link quality at 87%, fair RSSI , good PHY rate 598, noise level medium and fair SNR. Is it normal for these numbers to vary so much with basically no changes going on in the house? No people moving about, no other electronics being used, etc. Could this possibly be a wonky client box that is having a hard time with the signal? At times this box buffers, freezes and shows that it is not connected to the VMS box. Maybe I should request an extender for this room as it seems to be the only place that sometimes has a signal issue? I'm new to this new streaming stuff…18 years of trouble free Fios and now it comes to this with the discontinuing of my Cablecard service.
