I am on a 3 year plan with 4 lines currently. And would like switch to a different plan on 2 lines. Will that affects the current contract, the promotion, and discounts? Can the plans be switched back and forth?

Hi, first of all, I'd change your forum username by going to your profile and then "edit profile", because your current username is a privacy and spam risk.
To answer your question, if you are currently under contract, you must stay on whatever service plan you have for those lines. Changing anything around will break the contract and void your promotion/discount. You will then have to immediately pay off the remaining balance on any devices obtained under the promotion plus possible early termination penalty fees. The only exception I've seen to this is the promotion which may appear when you are 18 months in on a contract: it will be an offer for you to pay the remaining 50% balance owed on your device in order to obtain a new one and begin a new contract with the "upgraded" device. In effect, getting a new device for 50% off and not being penalized for bailing out of the old contract early.
