I keep getting unwanted calls from entities that use fake caller ids. So I can't block them with the normal call blocking since the number is constantly changing. The group also seems to share my number with dozens of others so even the "add number to do not call list" doesn't work (assuming they follow FCC regs).
The other common thing about these calls is the caller ID is simply the name of a state. So amusingly, another way to block these pests would be if the Caller ID equals a string matching any of the 50 US states.
So my next idea was to try to block any number that's not on a whitelist. I only expect wanting callers on a short list of family and friends, so a "whitelist" might work. The scammers would be unable to know those numbers to spoof those.
Does Fios phone have a way to only allow whitelisted number to ring?
