Why did the My Verizon widget disappear completely from my android phone?

Hello, until about a week or so ago, I had the My Verizon data usage widget on my phone. Now, the widget has disappeared entirely (no longer available under widgets). However, the My Verizon app is on my phone. What happened to the widget? How do I get it back?

Hello @naviator2003 Good news! You can always edit your shortcuts by clicking the pencil icon under the welcome banner on your home page in the MVA. After you click the pencil you will have the options to add shortcuts to your widgets, simply click the plus sign next to Usage Overview & hit Apply. That will allow you to easily access the Usage widget on your home page.

I didn't even know there was a widget. Maybe you need to update the My Verizon app, or check that your phone's software is otherwise up to date, and then see if you can add the widget back? If there's nothing to add back in the widgets, then it must've been removed. If you have any social media, try contacting Verizon on one of their social media channels as people have been reporting the best success that way.

@SynthpopAddict Thank you for your reply. Phone and My Verizon app fully updated. Have had the widget every since owning a smartphone. Another user reported this same issue on Google Play. Although I just saw a great solution from a person that posted a one star because of this. Problem solved!

@verizon Let me guess Verizon, you removed the data widget because I'm a Prepaid customer. That's petty!

I did a little searching elsewhere on the internet, and the Verizon widget was a legacy thing. The latest OS on iPhone no longer supports it at all, so it's not because you're prepaid; it's just that the widget is outdated and Verizon would have to create a new widget. Good to hear you found a solution though. :)
