The OP must be an iPhone fan, because the thread title currently has "Andriod" in it… 😆

I'm an Android user, because my first cell phone was a Samsung A01 and I understand the interface. There's quite the price range for Android phones. Not everybody needs a top of the line phone with a bunch of bells and whistles. The "one" thing? I thought it was more like the can of worms never-ending debate for which no can is big enough to put all the worms back into, ha ha ha!

I am also an Android user. At least when I started with a smartphone, iPhones were to locked in to Apple apps and other Apple devices. There were way more apps available on android. Including many I used from PCs and other devices.

Android through and through. No fruit phones (aka Apple) for me!

I tried both, but I didn't like the restrictions Apple has for their garden of files, apps, and cloud.

The ability to customize the look and feel the phone or tablet. From the simple of how the app icons are organized on the screen to the customization one could do under the hood if they are so inclined. I admit I did some of that customizing early on with the older Android versions, but I prefer the functionality out of the box now from the Pixel phones.

"Fruit phones"…OMG, that's awesome! Out of respect to the iPhone camp, I still can't get the idea out of my head that my phone is a "bot phone" for whatever reason. It's probably because my bio says "I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it." 😂

Definitely android. I find them easier to use plus I get more free games and apps than on apple.

If you look at my profile, I list my phones and tablets both past and present. There is a definite pattern of which kind of phones I use. I will admit that I did use a fruit phone although it was brief. Most of the time I had it, I used it as a WIFI only device. I refused to setup the visual voicemail feature on said fruit phone and it was a pain when I switched back to an android phone after using it as I had to verify my account was provisioned correctly for the basic non-visual voicemail feature. The one good thing that came out using the fruit phone is my SIM card was changed to a nano SIM card with that phone. That same SIM card is still in use today in the current phone.

As for how I got that fruit phone, you have to be a Community Leader see that history. 😉

Cell phone is an oxymoron, there about as far from phones as horse exhaust. Now being an old phone guy, I look for voice quality which is not to be found on cell phones, and I've tried many that people have and say, "I don't have that issue". Well, Cell phones concentrate on camera quality, number of apps, games, text and voice quality come somewhere in the next universe. I use an Android when outside the home they are convenient for that. In the home we use a wireless home phone, which of course uses cell service, but using a plain old phone gives near perfect voice quality, I'd say old landline quality which to me proves it's the instrument not the cell signal itself. Sorry for being so long and off topic, sometimes and old phone guy just has to vent. We do like texting with our kids, grandkids and greats. To answer the topic Android, and keep it simple.

Back when I had a VoIP landline, it was great for many years, but over time, I began noticing an echo on the phone during calls. My Android sounds fine on calls, unless the network is congested. Then I may or may not experience random problems with calls in general while on cellular service due to deprioritization because I'm prepaid.

Must be not I phones. My service for cell and wireless home phone are both Verizon. I'm just not a big cell phone fan for regular voice service; they both have their place. That's my two cents, change provided.
