RECEIVED A REPLACEMENT IPHONE 16 PRO MAX not from APPLE but from Apple Certified Lab

I fields a claim with Verizon, since my all devices are covered under a monthly plan that I contribute. So I filed a claim & requested a NEW DEVICE REPLACMENT but was surprised to see that the device that i got replaced was from not APPLE & neither in an APPLE BOX. But it came from a LAB that has Apple Certification. I am paying monthly on my previous damaged device & now will be paying same for the Replacement Device which is not from APPLE although its an IPHONE.

When I am paying monthly coverage for any of my devices, why should the Insurance company give a phone not from the original company? This absolutely not what I expected from VERIZON. I need justification & a new Brand APPLE PHONE, shouldn’t I?

The replacement phones from the insurance are "CLNR"s, which stands for "certified like new replacement". If it had been a warranty claim filed directly with Apple, might be different, but can't say for sure.
