Texting vs Calling

Some people would rather send a quick text. Others prefer picking up the phone and calling right away📞

Are you more of a caller or texter? Why?

I'm more a texter because it's convenient. However, if it's important or I truly want to connect with someone, calling is much better.

I feel texting is faster, however, there are times when a calling is necessary in order to fully understand the sentiment.

For years I avoided texting. Turned it off on my earlier cell phones. Remember it used to cost a lot to text if you went over any texting limits. Only turned it on again when a got my first smart phone in 2014 and it included unlimited texting. Until I retired this was a big problem as i had to handle 500 to a 1000 often long email messages a day, and still do real work as a Systems Programmer. No my company would not reimburse me for these text messages if allowed them on my personal phone.

So was more likely to use calling or email. Only in the last couple of years starting using more texting as the number of people I deal with, who don't use email, but do text, has increased. As an Android phone user, the inclusion or RCS on Apple devices has helped remove limits of traditional texting and incompatible between Android and Apple devices.

I'm a texter. It's faster and more convenient. If it's important or I need an answer right away I will call. From the south, I feel with a call there is a lot of small talk that I often don't have time for. I can easily ask questions and check in on my people with a simple text.
