I was planning on trading in my iPhone 13 on a 17 Pro Max. It says that I am eligible for an $830 credit on the trade in (spread out over 36 mos). But when I got to the final step, the contract states that I am purchasing the new phone at full price. Apparently, the trade in is a separate transaction, but I’m hesitant to agree to a contract at full price in the meanwhile. While trying to research this, I found numerous complaints from people who said (1) they received less than the stated trade in, or even nothing, on trade in phones in good condition, or (2) that they were told that the trade in was never received, even though they have documentation that the phone was shipped and delivered. Now I’m even more concerned about completing the upgrade.
