Inexplicable Song Playing

For some reason, my Droid X randomly (and inexplicably at embarrassing times) plays (using the speaker phone) Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. It's not that I don't like the song (it's loaded in my Music player), but I can't find out why it's playing. When I check the Music Player, it does not show any song playing. In fact, when I select a song and hit play, it plays in conflict with the Gershwin. I don't have any alarms set. Any suggestion as to how I find out what is causing this and turn it off?

Strange, for sure. Maybe go into SETTINGS / APPLICATIONS and scroll down to the Music player APP and "clear cache"? You don't have the song associated with a Ringtone or a Text msg do you?

The other thought is maybe just temporarily REMOVE the song from your phone and see if an error pops up saying that the file is "missing" ?? That might give you a clue as to which APP has it's hooks into the song.

I did go into the Settings/Applications menu and opened the Music Player. The clear cache option was shaded and would not respond to a touch so I believe there was nothing in the cache. I do not have Rhapsody associated with a ring tone or text message and the playing of the song did not seem to coincide with any of these events. I have implemented your last suggestion and removed the song from my SD card. The next move is up to the Ghost in the Machine.

My brother had this problem with his Blackberry. It turned out it was a virus, and it made the song play at the most random times. Try doing a battery pull, that helped with his problem.

Hey, thanks everybody who took the time to respond with helpful suggestions. I deleted the offending song from my music files and this seemed to solve the problem. But this morning, I had trouble accessing my picture Gallery. I kept getting a message saying that my SD card was not mounted or unavailable. So I implemented the second suggestion--that is pulled my battery. When the phone booted up again, I was able to access my SD card and my picture Gallery. Thanks for all the suggestions.
