Hi,
Verizon has flagged my iPhone which I bought from the Dutch online Apple Store in September 2023 as stolen. I live in the Netherlands, I’ve never had a Verizon subscription of any kind and now I can’t get my iPhone with a defective display replaced by Apple (AppleCare+) because Verizon (probably not-on purpose) due to a typing error most likely flagged my iPhone’s IMEI number as stolen after attempting to bind an eSIM to it last year (which Apple resolved for me after a few months of back and forth contact). Last week I was on the phone with them for almost half an hour and they were not even interested in seeing my invoice with the IMEI number. It belonged to a customer of theirs so I could not be telling the truth. Only if Apple contacted them and convinced them of the opposite they could remove the stolen flag. I’ve been on the phone with Apple support for several times now and I have learned what most likely happened, but this doesn’t solve my situation. Verizon doesn’t seem to care nor take responsibility in solving the issue.
Somebody from Verizon, PLEASE contact me and I’ll prove the invoice and the analysis I did of what happened when which can explain the error. I’m acting quite calm at the moment given the experience and the situation so far, but… THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!
