My Ipad here in this tiny town near the yellowstone park, it has cell access - when all the tourists come to the park I may as well not even have cell access to the web the web pages time out before they load. The unlimited ultimate plan from Verizon - it claims to offer a lot of hotspot speed, like even movies, I need use cell access www internet on my ipad year around. The unlimited ultimate plan was not available my ipad 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro (2020) - For some reason that unlimited ultimate plan that offers nationwide access was not available for it. I am confused as well as the names of the plans change I see unlimited plus, I see unlimited ultimate. The plan right now is to give out a hotspot on the iphone max and login to it with my ipad or tether to it. That way I can access the web with the ipad. I was told this nationwide plan wont slow down in the tourist season. Maybe my 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro (2020) needs a different sim ? and it would get the good coverage. I tried to add it and it would not let me. Since Verizon makes claims about the hotspot useage and not actual devices access they talk as if the hotspot provides better access to another device than it does to the phone or device itself. I could not get a strait definite answer about that. Version's website kept calling the plans different things. Anyway what I am choosing to do is removing the phone line from the ipad, I will offer a hotspot form the IPAD and hopfully I will get www access all year around. It worked out to about 50 less a year by putting the fastest plan on the Iphone. Since I could not get the fastest plan on the IPad one that did not slow down during tourist season I chose to just move the number off the ipad and stop paying for service to it. I will get www via tether from iphone instead.
