Gingerbread 2.3.3 on my Droid x - Homescreen lags between swipes :(

I just downloaded the OTA of Android 2.3.3 ad as soon as it was finished, and reboot, I noticed a lag between homescreen swipes. I tried rebooting and did a battery pull. It didn't help. Everything else works like a dream as far as other screens, menus, etc. The homescreen swipes seem glitchy and seem generic as if it were a third party launcher in beta. Any ideas for a solution to this?? I thought this update would be pretty poilished.

If your SWIPE issue is reproduceable, I'd try booting in SAFE MODE and see if the problem persists. I would serously suspect that an APP is causing your problem. Mine is pretty snappy - but I don't run a lot of real-time WIDGETS either. (do a search for "SAFE MODE" in this forum to find the procedure. Simple to do.)

I agree, I almost gave up on my ADW because the stock launcher was so smooth compared to 2.2.1.... I would guess its app related as well because I am very impressed with the performance of the device with update.

thanks all!! i tried what you both suggested and it seems my phone is working smoother than before. i also unstalled all my apps (i didn't have many). so now i'll reinstall the important ones i had an see which one is the cuplrit. i knew something was fishy! :smileyhappy:

havent seen lag but where can i if at all turn off the effect of the screen sort of wiggling while moving between homescreens like when i stoph on a page its sorta moves a little and pops into place?
