All of a sudden my phone is moving from screen to screen on its own as if it has been infected with something. A couple days ago I installed the app Lookout and am hoping that did not infect my phone. I have turned the phone off and back on twice. I have gone into Task Killer and killed all running apps. I have gone into settings and changed some settings there. All these things and it keeps doing it. I wouldn't so much except that the screen is not dimming. When it is on a particular screen, i.e. the all apps screen there is a highlight that moves from app to app. Very weird - what's going on?

Optimizing your phone’s battery life

When you’re on the go, it’s not always easy to charge your phone’s battery as often as you’d

like. Follow these tips to extend the time between charges:

Turn off wireless functions such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and data connection when you’re not

using them. See the Internet and Bluetooth chapters for details.

Do not use GPS satellites to determine your GPS location. See the Maps & Location

chapter for details.

Lower the screen brightness. See “Adjusting the screen brightness manually” in this

chapter for details.

Switch off screen animations. See “Switching animation effects on or off” in this chapter

for details.

Cut down on activities such as Internet browsing. Wireless data consumes a lot of power.

Avoid making very long phone calls or using the camera for extended periods of time.

Consider carrying a spare battery for times when you can’t charge your battery for an

extended period.

Batteries gradually lose storage capacity over time. Consider replacing your battery after

eight months to a year, or if you notice that the battery life is decreasing.

Checking the power usage of applications.

you have the droid incredible; I need help with the life of the battery; just got it a couple of days ago, Love the phone but; can't talk no time on it.

your optical mouse may have dust or debris in it. i would take it in and have them look at it. i've seen afew users that had a bad optical mouse and just had to get a replacement. it will just continue scrolling.

saphire.....use the keyword search in this forum for battery life. there are a TON of threads with tips for the battery.

This. My optical joystick can act funny if it has even the slightest fingerprint on it. Quite frequently I find my hand brushing against it while I am trying to type out a text message or something. Wipe it off with a dry cloth and see if you have the same issue afterwards.
