have 3g service but am unable to make/receive calls and texts

My X is acting like it has zero signal but it still has 3G service. If I try to make a call it automatically ends the call and says it cannot connect. I went into the phone status and it say signal strength is -120 dBm 0 asu, I dunno if that helps explain anything lol any and all ideas are welcome. Thanks.

UPDATE: so im an idiot. nevermind...... LOL
