Ever since 2.2 I occasionally get where Bluetooth controls for music (next, back, pause) refuse to actually work. disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth device fixes it every time for me though. IDK if this is your exact problem or not, as we don't have the exact same phone, but hopefully it helps!
