For some reason the touch screen will not let me touch areas i am trying to touch.  For example, if I try to txt with the keyboard exposed it registers the touch on the right of the screen and goes to the beginning.  If i try to touch with the keyboard closed no matter what i touch it goes to the internet.....I took out the battery and shut it off, any ideas?

I can certainly understand the importance of having all the functions on your device working properly. I would first recommend you first calibrate the screen on your phone using the following steps:

 

1. From the main screen go to Menu
2. Go to Settings and Tools
3. Select Touch Settings
4. Select Calibration
5. Touch the center of each target

If you are still experiencing the same issue with your device after calibrating the screen I would recommend to do a master reset on your device. Please keep in mind a master reset permanently erases all data and resets the device back to its factory settings. To perform a master reset follow these steps:

 

1. From the main screen go to Menu
2. Go to Settings and Tools
3. Select Phone Settings
4. Select Security. If prompted select OK.
5. Enter your security code. It should be the last 4 digits of your mobile number unless you have changed it.
6. Select Restore Phone
7. Select Yes
8. Select OK
9. Enter the security code
