Firefox for Android beta and Facebook

Trying the most recent beta of Firefox for Android. And liking it a lot. Still a little twitch in a spot or two. But very cool. Ready for primetime. I had a back and forth with, I believe, "Robert" over Firefox and if you are reading this, I'd like to hear your thoughts. For example, how can I enter a URL and have Firefox go straight to that site without it wanting to search Google or Amazon for it? And is there a way to close Firefox without simply hitting the home button on the phone?

One really odd occurrence was happening with Facebook. Regardless of whether I enter "Facebook" in the URL bar or in a search site, it ALWAYS comes up with a parsing error. Grrr...And I tried to get around this for 30 minutes with no luck.

I've un-installed Firefox for the time being, but I still have the install files, so when I figure out the answers to these issues (which I feel certain that I not blameless over, LOL), I'll re-install it in a second.

For now, XScope still works well.

I was so looking forward to trying Firefox Beta once it was available on the Market. Now that it is, I find out it doesn't support the older ARMv6 processor. :smileymad: :smileysad:

I tried the firefox beta in the market, couldn't figure out how to set up bookmarks on it, then uninstalled V_V

I wanted to like it, I love firefox on my desktop, but it seriously lacked usability in the UI. I shouldn't be unable to find how to do basic functions in the UI.

There is a star in the address bar that when clicked, it will put that page in the bookmarks. But what stinks is that it's so clumsy to get to the bookmarks list. As well as the Facebook issue that I ran into. What little time I spent actually getting around some sites I'm used to seeing wasn't so bad. But it still needs work, no doubt.

I REALLY want to like it and use it as well. However, I've becme seriously entrenched in Chrome lately. I wish they could do a version of Chrome for Android. Or is that what the stock browser is supposed to be? Doesn't seem to terribly related.
