POP3 Email on Droid and on computer's Outlook

We have some personal POP3 email accounts with an internet service provider, and we've been using MS Outlook to retrieve and manage them.

We just got a Droid X, and set up these personal email accounts on it, and after some struggles finally got emails to start coming into the Droid.

HOWEVER, whatever mail messages go the Droid are now NOT going to Outlook like we want it to. Before the DRoid, we had a BlackBerry, and the emails worked fine, all emails going both to Outlook and the BB. But now it looks like each email only goes to one or another.

What can we do to make sure the emails go to both?

Ususally a thing like this is caused by not checking "Leave a Copu" to leave a copu on the server.

OK thanks. Where exactly would I check the "leave a copy" option? On the droid? If so, which setup screen? I haven't seen that option.

outlook express not outlook but emails go both places for me with cox/phoenix.

I also forward to Outlook Express with no problems. Have you re-checked, even deleted and re-entered everything and tried it again?

Thanks for the information everyone. You can Configure your email client to leave messages on the server after retrieval. Listed below are the steps.

1) Click File.

2) Click Account Settings.

3) Click Change.

4) Click More Settings.

5) Click the Advanced tab.

--Ensure Leave a copy of messages on server is checked.

5) Click OK.

6) Click Next.

7) Click Finish.

8) Click Close.

Thanks so much for replying. I have set the server mail settings to:

"POP enabled for all mail that arrives from now on", and
"When messages are accessed with POP, keep WB's mail in the Inbox".

I've checked and saved these settings multiple times. And the mails actually do stay in the Inbox after either client has accessed them.

But still only one or the other (Droid or Outlook 2010) receives the mail.

Any other ideas? Something to do with the Droid itself? Before the Droid, we had a BlackBerry and everything worked fine then. The Droid is the only thing that's changed since when it was working OK.

I had a similar issue with pop3 account. I had to go through setting it up twice before it would work. Email is coming in fine but have a gmail and the pop 3 account delieved to my phone.

Now I'm trying an app that will sync 2007 Outlook with the phone without using the gmail account. I tried Companion Link but my data base really got messed up with linking contacts to other contacts for no apparent reason that I could find.
