Hard Button Lights

Okay, so I'm loving the new Gingerbread for my DroidX :smileyvery-happy: I just have one minor issue that I can't seem to find an answer for, when I put my X in the dock on my night stand the light stays on :smileysad: Now I can't imagine that this is something they put in the code because the entire screen dims so that it will act as a bedside clock. I'm hoping someone on here can point me to a resolution that doesn't involve a factory reset.

This came up in the SOAK testing ... Moto is aware of it and "working on it".

Kooshie did you click on Codys Link in the GB T & T Post it answered some of my Question on GB............. I just wished they had a fix for the Sirius Xm App its a pain in the Butt! but it was Same Way in Froyo as Well :smileysad:

Try this, go to display settings and toggle auto brightness on and off, fixed it for me.

Yes I did look through that link and didn't find the answer to this question. I did find an answer to the question about the constant sync symbol and that was cleared up :smileyvery-happy: I just read the post about toggling the auto dim so I am trying that now and we will see how that works out this evening :smileywink:

Ss previously noted and just to elaborate: this BUG is definitely a known issue and MOTO has it on their "FIX" list as part of the SOAK testing. Hopefully we will see a software update in the near future. If the previous FROYO release schedule is of any comparison, it took like 2-3 months after the initial SOAK & general release before the final software update/fixes were provided. (Crosses fingers for someting quicker this time.)

Thanks for letting us know about this. At this time, VZW's Tech Support Team has not flagged this as a known issue. I have just submitted it for review and sharing with the manufacturer. We will keep you posted. Thanks again!

I am glad that you are bringing it the attention of Verizon Wireless, apparently it is a known issue over at Motorola that came up when they did the pre-release (soak) test prior to June 1. I am desperately looking for a resolution to this issue as it defeats the purpose of having the hard key lit while the device is set as a bedside clock.

Ok do this of strange, tonight I notice that my hardware beyond were not lit! Ah, it appears they aren't lighting at all :smileysad:

Hi Koosh have you done a FR yet that might help ya i got my X in its Doc i'll see if the lights go out. They did an thats with the charger hooked up to it.

No I haven't done one since I did the update, the lights went out the night before last but then last night they stayed on
