Problems with text messages

I have a motorola droid and here lately I have been having issues with receiving text messages and it's not with just one person. My daughter has an envy 3 and my fiance has a motorola droid. My daughter has sent me several text messages that I never recieve and then this morning I received a text message that she sent to me at 8:24 am and I didn't receive it til 10:15 am. A couple of days ago by fiance sent me a text message at 7:30 am and I didn't get it til 9:30 am when he sent me another text message ( I got both of them at the same time). Also I received a message telling me I had a friend request on facebook, but it was about an hour after I had already gone on facebook and accepted the friend request. How can I fix this problem? It is really irritating because I can't afford to be missing text messages. I have the default text messaging application. I have already turned my phone off and back on again and I'm receiving her text right now, but like I said I receive some of them and some of them I don't, so not really sure it has been fixed or not.

When you receive delayed text messages, you can update your roaming capabilities by dialing *228(Send) option 2 from your mobile phone, or power the device off and remove your battery for 1 minute. I have provided instructions below on how to remove your battery:

Ensure the phone is powered off.
Remove the back cover. Holding the phone with both hands and the touch screen facing away, gently press down until it disengages then lift off.
From the recessed area near the bottom of the battery, press upwards slightly then pull the battery out.

In my text messages when i click on a conversation pulls up an entirely different contact conversation does this ALL the time, i'm sure your useless steps that will lead to a reset that will lead to a used phone will not be satisfactory verizon is HORRIBLE bad customer service, horrible phone durablity, horrible coverage, charge you out the **bleep** for anything i'm so glad sprint and tmobile have awesome phones and plans can't wait to watch verizon go down!!!!!!!!!

How can you say Verizon specifically has terrible phones compared to tmobile and other companies, when they use the same manufacturers? It sounds like, since you have such ill feelings towards Verizon, you are subconsciously doing things to your phones that make them not work? Or looking for very specific problems with them that you would otherwise overlook on another carrier. Have fun with your Sprint plan.

All the time? Isn't this kinda inconvenient when you sleep or have to shower or go to the bathroom?

Geez, where to start? First, sentence structure and puncuation can be your friend. Next, if you are that sure about the reset, I'd love for you to start watching the stock market and giving me some tips.

And finally, I have a couple of ideas for you regarding your texting issues, but I'm gonna hold on to them unless and until you apologize to the Verizon rep for your borrish and rude response. Maybe you should go to Sprint or T-Mobile, you all deserve each other.

As for watching Verizon go down, you may as well pull up a chair and watch dirt change color. I'll bet you could do that well, at least.

I am having the same issue. I have tried the *228 / Option 2 thing, I've tried the battery thing with TWO batteries, and still having the issue.

I'll have to go to the Verizon store tomorrow or something, because I'm also having issues with calls as well. I just tried calling my cell phone from my house phone, and on the house phone it sounded normal. However, I never got the received call on the Droid. Didn't ring or anything.
