How long is the warranty on the Fascinate? {edited to comply with Terms of Service}

I was burned by Nintendo when I added the homebrew channel to my son's Wii and then the **bleep** laser went out and it wouldn't read disc. So I check on line and sure enough a ton of them have had this problem and it's being repaired by Nintendo for free. I took the Homebrew off the WIi but they could still see it was done and it voided my warranty. They returned the Wii to me unrepaired and I ended up buying him a new one.
Why are people talking about April 1st? I know it's April Fool's Day but that would be just too cruel of a joke- "2.2 due out 4/1/11"
