Does anyone know how to sync up the Droidx with Microsoft Outlook calendar and contacts? I am NOT employed, I'm trying to sync it with my home PC so I don't have a server account. Google Apps for business is not an option (I think).

It does both... Calendar and contacts...

Sorry disregard the last post because it is used for corp email not personal, all of mine is corp instead of one and just learned it wont work for you but the first post can dtill work for Calendar..
The only other way is to have Google sync through web site...
