the droid x^2 has arrived

Anyone else baffled by the lack of improvement from the first? Honest why no front camera and maybe a little makeover unless you are just getting a new phone I can't see any x users salivating for this phone ... im glad my upgrade isn't til the end of summer because im just bummed with the new crop of phones from big red non are loaded with dual core 4g and gb I wish they would light a fire under their butts and and really drop our jaws right tmobile att and sprint are killing them with better high end offerings

Looking at the side by side 2 things caught my eye...the x display is listed as tft the x2 is corning gorilla glass ( did they just forget the x had it also or is this a different materil?)...also the x2 is said to support release A rather than rev. A is there a difference? Otherwise take away a better screen and dual core and better wifi they are identical and this playstation phone looks lackluster as well : :smileysad:

ohhhh Verizon listen to the customers not what a bunch of suits think is better ...pretty please?

I believe that the display is a higher resolution over the original one. But yeah, it looks like the same phone in many ways.

It's also duel core so it's twice as fast, stronger screen impact and scratch proof

The Droid X2 and X both have the Gorilla glass, the Droid X2 has a higher resolution screen and Dual Core processor and there are reports it will run on an "enhanced" 3G service. I don't quite understand what that means yet, maybe faster download speeds?

I do know web browsing will be faster as the processor will speed that up tremendously.

Verizon was putting a lot on the Motorola Bionic, since it's been delayed it kinda left them hanging in the breeze. The Samsung Charge also got delayed and that didn't help matters. I'm holding out hope that the Droid Bionic turns out to be the Targa, 12mp rear camera, 1+ghz dual core, 4G, and 3mp front camera with QHD screen = LOVE.

Maybe it using the eHPRD that the Thunderbolt using for 3G. Is the Droid X2 in Verizon stores yet? I might have to check this out. Hmmm

I heard in stores on the 26th, available online as of the 18th.

It is very well possible that the phone is using the higher bandwidth 3G radio. I just haven't read any indepth documentation about it yet.
