Since Froyo 2.2 update on Samsung Facinate text messages send whenever they feel like it!!!!!

Since I updated my phone to Froyo 2.2 on Monday May 16th I have had problems with text messaging on my phone. I am not using any messaging applications either. I will send a message and the message will act like it sends. It does not give a failure notice and it does not allow you to resend. However everytime I look at the message the time stamp changes to the current time on my phone. But if I click message details then it shows the original sent date and time. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with Verizon on Wednesday May 18th and at the time it seemed that the text messaging was working. It worked till about 2:49 on Thursday May 19th. when I sent a group message out to my softball and tball teams. (It is easier to send all parents a text rather than calling 22 parents. Its a big time saver!!) It is Now May 20 at 11:07 and my messages still have not sent through. MMS messages are sending but no text messages. I have pulled my battery, rebooted my phone, done *228 numerous times to try to push the messages through and maybe one message will go through but not all of them. I still have lots of messages that are just hanging out I guess.. PLEASE HELP!!!! I NEED MY MESSAGES TO SEND WHEN I SEND THEM NOT DAYS LATER! THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING!

Sorry for the frustrations this has caused. This is an issue we have raised to the manufacturer, Samsung, who was unable to duplicate the problem on their test phone(s). So to continue to work towards a resolution, we need to rule out the possibility of it being a network issue, through the use of a Trouble Ticket. This gets our Network Repair Bureau involved just to make sure everything with the network checks out fine. To start this process, we need to speak with you directly. I'm getting scrambled text messages...My boyfriend sent a message to me where the first part was accurate and the second part pulled from some other text message sent days/months ago. What the hell is going on? I can't call tech support when I'm at home because my cell phone is my only phone. Will have to try while at work. I also did the *228 thng and that only seemed to help with battery life (although only until the battery is half full - once it reaches halfway it drains quickly). Still can't use the camera, reception is terrible, random text messages are definitely a concern considering i use my phone for work often. I'm so frustrated and am completely dumbfounded to find the amount of issues everyone is having and there not being a viable solution for any of them. Verizon - Samsung - whomever needs to get to work to fix this or customers will be lost. I'm fed up...

Great news! We came out with a software update that should resolve this issue. If you have the current software on the phone (ED04), and you still have this issue, please go to settings> applications> all> messages> clear cache/data/force close. Note: This may erase all of your text messages and all of your e-mails from the phone. Please back up accordingly.

I've updated my phone with the most recent update and I am still getting this problem. I have a text message that never sent probably 2 months ago, and now whenver I send a text message to my boyfriend over 160 characters, the message is scrambled with the old message from 2 months ago, and the message I'm currently trying to send. It's bizarre and quite frustrating. Please help!
