My Thunderbolt arrives tomorrow!

I will be getting my new Thunderbolt tomorrow.  I currently have a first edition Droid Eris.  I backed up the apps using Astro.  Three questions:

1. Will that back up in Astro also back up the data in the Apps?

2. What about my contacts? 

3. What else should I do to get ready?

Astro do not backup anything but the apps apk files

2. What about my contacts? 

Contacts should be backed up to your Google account and will copy to phone when you log into the email account on the new device.

3. What else should I do to get ready?

The best thing to do is check and make sure all contact info is on your gMail account by logging into the account on a pc web browser, all other information should be good...  If you want to backup app settings, I suggest MyBackup because I have had good luck with this app.
