Extended Battery Cover Connections

Did manufacturing miss the bridge connection between the two contacts just above the camera lens on the extended battery cover?

The standard battery cover has a copper connection between these two contacts and there is no "bridge" between them on the extended cover. These are suppose to be part of the antenna and I'm wondering if this is a partial cause of my "location" being 4 states off at times.

( I've take a jpg of it but don't know how to post it here)

read the first review (at least, it was at the top when i linked this). they completely blew it and your assumption is probably correct. network and gps antenna is missing from the case. WOW!!! i was going to get one, but i guess not. i may have to just return this thing. the only way to extend my life is to leave it on 3g, which makes it pointless. i figured i would just get the extended battery, but not now. thanks for the heads up!!!!!!!! now i wonder if they will ever address it and actually make them WITH the necessary hardware? if they do, i would demand a replacement if i were you.

hmm...wonder if they're sending out different battery doors. The cover below has the same contacts as the stock one.

Maybe I'm missing your point but those two covers have different contact configurations.

In the picture the far right top door has the same as my Standard Battery door ( the notice 2 contacts on the right are "bridged) and the middle top door has 2 discrete contacts (as does my Extended Battery door). Both doors have a single contact on it's left-hand side.

If the two contacts are touching the same piece of metal or the same( negative/positive) side of the battery, then it shouldn't matter if they are "bridged" or not. :smileyhappy:
