HELP ASAP! Text to email question

I have been receiving some text messages from friends from their email addresses and i have responded to these messages...so basically instead of sending a text to a phone number im just sending it to an email...does this cost extra? I heard today from someone that they thought these messages were $2 each everytime you get one...i have unlimited texting, but im nervous im about to get a giant bill and cant find any info regarding this....THANK YOU!!!!!!!

No need to worry. Texting to an email address and vice versa is billed as text messaging, so you will  not be charged.
