Barcode scanner

Ok. I've tried 4 different barcode scanner apps and none of them work. The camera just won't focus on the barcode. Anyone else? Any suggestions?

Did you test all 4 scanners at roughly the same time under the same lighting conditions?

If it's too dim, the scanners distinguish the bars from the background.

Is your camera working okay otherwise? Just wondering if it could be a camera issue...

I haven't had any issues with my camera. I tried just taking pictures of the bar codes and they come out clear. I tried the different scanners at different times and with different items. I don't think I tried it with a bright light so maybe I'll try that.

the camera on my old voyager is better than the dx and i step the res down to 2 meg.
