sd card will not mount

hello all, i just recently bought my droid incredible. i have not dropped it and there is absolutely no damage to the phone or the sd card. i turned it on recently and at the top of the screen it said the sd card would not mount. is there any way to fix this? i cant download anything new now and nearly half my pictures/memory has disapeared so its not like i have much to lose.

@kc0342, first off, have to inserted the SD card firmly? The SD Card needs to be pushed down until it "clicks" in place like a button. Next, if this is a new card and you are using it for the first time, try formatting it from the phone. To do this, tap on Menu->Settings->SD&Phone Storage. Tap on Format SD Card.

Reboot the phone by removing the battery while the phone is still turned on. Once you have removed the battery take out the SD card and then place it back and make sure it is inserted properly. Place the battery back on the phone and turn it on. This should remove the message your are seeing.
