Transfer pix from LG Octane/enV3 to computer not working?

I've got a MicroSD card which I put into my enV3, loaded all my pictures from the camera memory onto the card, then put the card in my LG Octane, loaded all of it's pictures into the memory of the card (fyi, I can't see the pics from the enV3 on the Octane or vice/versa), then put the memory card in my card reader on the computer, and though I can browse the whole tree structure that the phone created, all the folders appear to be empty. The properties panel for the card reader shows a little over 100mb used on the card (which is right, based on the number of pix) but the files aren't anywhere to be found.

Is there something I have to do to be able to see the files and transfer them to computer?

I would format the card in the ENV3 load the photos then put it into the card reader and see if that works to get those off. Then format the card in the octaone and load photos and insert into card reader and see if you get those off. Mary

I would like to add more about formatting.

Before you do any format to the SD card, please try to place the originals pictures to each respective phone memory. Formatting the card will erase all the content. You have the right idea about moving the phones from the phone to the card then the PC. But you want to do one phone at a time. So, put the pictures back on the device, format the card (Settings&Tools, Memory, Card Memory, Options, Format), then move the pictures back to the card. Once they're moved you can place the card in the PC and move them into a file on your computer. Once you've got that done for one phone, do the same thing to the second phone. It's important to make sure the pictures are viewable and ON the phone memory before formatting the card.
