Android 2.1 Pushed Back

So I'm wondering **bleep**. I waited without a peep assuming that when Droid gets it's 2.1 my Eris would be next.

I never cried, I read all the "I want it now not in 2 weeks" posts and watched and read as people show ill will to others through the board.

But now I have about reached the end with Verizon.... I have been a long long time Verizon customer and now I getting very tired of their sales reps giving false info and then Verizon holding the carrot in front of me the pulling it away at the last possible minute.

I'm thinking it's time to move onto another carrier.

OK end of venting.

It's likely being delayed because they found a glitch. I'd rather wait a week or two and have it rolled out with no concerns.

People want everything both ways. We want it now, but we want it perfect. And if it can't be both, we complain.

I just got the Eris a week ago and love the phone. But I have to say that my confidence and patience are totally becoming misplace in Verizon. I'm tempted to take the phone back a day before my 30 day return policy is up. I guess they'll force us to run the 2.1 leak or root to get the options and performance we deserve.

Someone needs to let technical support know this. I spoke with them about my droids problems and he said i will be getting an update probably tonight and it might fix my problems.

I'd be more annoyed if there was something wrong with my Droid on 2.0. But there isn't. No glitches, no problems, just the best phone I've ever owned. The few new features coming with 2.1 will be fun, but the Droid works amazingly with 2.0. So, we'll get it when we get it.

The thing I find really interesting about this is that as an Eris owner, I thought the big delay in getting the update was due to issues with overlaying the Sense UI on top of 2.1. Maybe it's just general 2.1 issues afterall.

The thing that bothers me the most is the loyalty VZW is NOT showing the customers who has stood behind this company...I've been a VZW customer before the two name changes. It is disheartening to know that they refuse to be honest and upfront, they tells us one thing but do something totally different in secret...Come on VZW just be honest with us if there is a update just give it to us, don't string us alone. We all purchased this device for two reason - 1.) it is a great device and 2.) VZW was behind it. PLEASE Don't make us regret the decisions we have made...

I heard that the President is close to declaring a National State of Emergency because we haven't received this update yet. :smileywink:
