How to PW Lock the Fascinate?

I don't see the point of sliding a puzzle piece to unlock the phone.

What am I missing?

Is there a way to password-protect the device like with my office Blackberry?

One of the setting is you can do visible or invisible, I prefer the invisible, in case someone is looking over your shoulder

With the 2.2 update, you can also do PIN and PASSWORD in addition to PATTERN unlock.
