phone number port over to VW got ported back to Sprint, what happen?

I had a phone number ported over from a carrier to the Verizon Wireless network with a LG Octane and added to my account as a shared line. I did this a couple or 3 months ago and 6/17 I found out that the ported number was changed on 6/13 and my former-ported number is somehow back to the original carrier again and the LG Octane has a new phone number. How in the world did this happen? I did not authorize or requested this. Can anyone tell me how this happened? Thank you.

I've never heard of this happening. I would call Verizon customer service ASAP.

May I ask have this issue been addressed? If not, I would be happy to investigate it for you. I would need some info from you about your ported number. May I ask that you send me a private message with the ported mobile number, current VZW mobile number, & a contact number that you can be reached at.

Yes this issue was addressed and reversed as well. I didn't activate the new number using *228 and the number got ported back and a new number issued for returned ported number. Ported number back and replaced the new number. Now back with VW network now.
