How do I turn stop the phone from announcing who is call and phone # and also reading out loud my in coming text messages I would rather just read who is calling and just read my text messages

I was not able to access this info. I called Customer Service (1-888-987-4357)
and here's the solution:
- 1. Menu, 2. Settings & Tools, 3. Sounds Settings, 4. Call Sounds and then select:
Call Ringtone.

Look at the first link here, and right click and save it to the desktop. Open it go to page 89 of the viewer, that addresses call ID read out. Don't have that phone but on mine if you I go into text settings, TXT auto view there is on+readout to uncheck. I have mine set to just on so the text displays on the front screen or there is off so it will just say on the front you have a new text message, maybe you the have same settings or it's in the book how to set that. It's a PDF file and works better if you right click and save it to the desktop then open. Do you have the free adobe reader to open and read PDF files? If so and it's still not working you need to go on the adobe site and upgrade to the latest reader. Go here and on the right click get adobe reader and follow the prompts to get the latest reader. Ok don't know why you can't view PDF files if you have the latest viewer, might want to get it sorted. Mary
