My Charge will not recognize the SIM card as inserted. VZW is shipping me a new SIM Card. What's strange is that last night, I turned the phone on just to see if I could get it to work and it did activate without any problems. This morning when I picked the phone up, it turned itself off. After pressing the power button to power on, I'm getting the same error message that "No SIM card in phone, After you insert the card, please reboot. Emergency calls can be used." Any idea what's going on and if a new SIM will fix this issue? I'm thinking that the phone, and not the SIM, is defective since I was able to activate it for a short time.
Note that I've removed and reinstalled the SIM card many times (yes, I've made sure the VZW logo is up and facing me). Troubleshooting steps with VZW included a factory wipe. My visual inspection of the SIM is that it appears undamaged to the naked eye.
The new SIM card will arrive in a couple of days. Until then, I keep trying removing and inserting the SIM, hoping that it will perform another resurrection like Lazarus. You see, I live in a 4G area, and was able to speed test a 6mbs down and almost 5mbs up on this phone last night. Now, it's nothing but a very expensive paperweight.
Thanks in advance for all comments/solutions.
