LG EnV Touch: Touch screen has a mind of its own!

My LG EnV touch all of a sudden has been doing things on its own.  Basically the problem it seems is that the touch screens pressure sensor (or however that works) is being pressed without any contact whatsoever rendering the touchscreen utterly useless.  Even the inside keyboard was glitching a litttle bit yesterday.  I was wondering if anyone knew if there is anything that could be done?  Fortunately my plan is up in August so I could go get a new phone but I was curious if there were any fixes so I could at least delay the urgency of running to the Verizon Store

Well that certainly isn't good. One thing I would suggest if you haven't tried already is calibrating the screen. Menu>Settings & Tools>Touch Settings>Calibration. This helps mostly if you are having issues with the screen thinking you are pressing a different part of the screen, but doesn't hurt to try. Also, make sure you have the current software version VX11VKV11. You can check by going to Settings & Tools> Phone Info>SW Version. If you have an older version choose software update. If you are still having issues, then this is a hardware issue and the phone will need to be replaced.
