Blackberry Curve VM/missed call alerts

I've only had my Curve for 3 months so apologies if the answer to this is obvious..

Is there a way to set the BB Curve so that it continues to make periodic audible alerts after a call has been missed? I don't want to have to keep checking the screen to see if I've missed a call or VM.

No need to apologize. This phone had me so crazy I went out and bought a Blackberry for Dummies Book! You should be able to personalize your alerts this way:

Click on your help icon, notification profiles, custom notifications, set custom for messages. It will give you specific instructions from there.

other than the flashing led there is no repeat notification setting . im not sure if there is a 3rd party app out there but i havent came across one yet
